We all love crypto because of the freedom it gives us from banks and regulation but this also brings a real bad issue within crypto, Hacking is worth alot of money to people and crypto is an easy target, some people do not use the easiest of protection which puts their funds at major risk from being hacked. Here are some of our top tips

Two Factor Auth
Always enable two factor authentication, always! One of the easiest and most secure ways to instantly secure your accounts. Back up the sign up codes somewhere safe, ideally offline on paper or a encrypted USB. To be even more secure you could have a two factor auth phone which is used purely for this reason and nothing else

Scam Emails
Never use click through links from emails, always use the links that you have bookmarked and you know yourself. Always check for the https

Cold Wallet Storage
Do not store your crypto online, in an online wallet or on an exchange, just dont do it. The exchange could get hacked or the online wallet website could disappear along with all your funds. Invest in something like a Ledger Nano S and keep your funds safe

Trust No One
This might sound a bit simple but seriously assume everyone in crypto is out there for themselves, everyone wants to make money and they dont care how they do it. When that guy emails you and says send him .01 BTC and he will make you 0.10 BTC a week DON’T DO IT! So many people fall for stuff like this

Never Show Your Wealth
You have been trading or buying and you are building a nice little pot of cryptocurrency, never advertise this fact online. You instantly become a target for hackers who will start building a portfolio to get to your funds

Stick To Big Exchanges
Dont go signing up to smaller exchanges that you are unsure of, stick to the big guys, Binance, Kucoin, Bittrex, BitFinex, Huobi, Okex

Do Your Own Research
Dont go throwing thousands at a coin becuase some guy told you it will make you rich. Do your own research and decide for yourself, a good place to do this for coins is coincheckup

Dont Trust ICO’s
ICO’s used to be a good way of making money but now they are pretty much 90% scams, when signing up to ICO’s be very careful giving them information. Never give them your phone number and set up a seperate email address which is non related to any of your other crypto accounts

Use A VPN
Stay internet safe, use a VPN like PureVPN and if you are downloading software then get a decent anti virus and use virus total before downloading anything
